ASOS

It's dangerously close to my last real post. Golden hues. Necklace. Gorgeous. Well, the gorgeous bit is understandable of course. And if I had actually been writing blog entries in the past month then it wouldn't be so noticeable that these two things were so similar. However, it seems that I am too busy for that. Oh, I know. Excuses. But I just found ASOS last week. I excitedly sent Annaliese a gchat saying, check out ASOS, affordable and spectacular. She replied, oh yeah, I love their stuff. And I was like, oh?! How did I not know about this? Needless to say, I am thrilled. Not only could I actually afford this necklace, the fact that it only costs six dollars to ship something from the UK proves my theory about shipping costs being a major scam in this country. Anyhow, I tend to keep my impulse purchases under check but this time I was out of control.

I'm really trying to venture out in to the world of accessories. I'll say this is a fabulous starting point. Any thoughts?

Gold & Citrus

Even with the passing of fashion week in New York City and then in London, I've been hard pressed to find anything that truly inspires me. You know, the jaw dropping this-is-completely-gorgeous-I-never-want-to-forget-about-it kind of inspiration? Yeah. That. It must have flown out my window at the end of August and is apparently just making its return at the end of September.

With this:

Paired with a tee, funky blazer and some skinny js or for an evening event with a strapless black gown. Instant elegance either way.

1950s Cupcake

This dress embodies my desires and goals for fashion design. Quality couture work that combines both the old and the new yet continues to remain timeless and sexy. Somewhat affordable, too. Count me in.

office space

One of the things that drew us to rent our current apartment was the teeny corner office. We absolutely love it. It's just the right size. Small enough to be private but large enough for functionality. At this point, I'm having trouble making it useful for lack of organization. Honestly, that's a problem with the entire apartment. But we're making good decisions, getting rid of things we do not currently need and do not find worthy of the storage unit and we are paring down bit by bit.

I'm really liking these office spaces. I think I will try to draw useful bits and pieces from them.

a place to lay your head

Headboards. The options are endless. Here are a couple "do it yourselves" that I really like. Maybe even enough to do it myself.

Cynthia Steffe

Ode to summer. The glory of summer and the glory of fashion collide right here with Cynthia Steffe. These are the clothes that day dreams are built around. You know, when you imagine that you have all the money in the world and no cares and your husband can slip you away to Paris for the evening. Or New York City.

Two of my favorite pieces.

LuLu's

Am I behind the times? How long has this place been around? I'm tempted to have Casey take my wallet away from me because I could do some serious damage here.

LuLu's is so very fashionable catering to various personal styles and incredibly affordable.

Polly Wreford

Modern. Traditional. Nantucket. Vintage Chic. I don't think it matters what your interior style is, the Lifestyle and Interior photography of artist Polly Wreford is compelling to the point of me wanting to knock down walls, visit the fabric and antique stores and buy a few cans of paint.

These are a few of my favorites so far. I could spend hours drooling, I'm sure.
